Web Developer - Job Description
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000/annum
We are seeking a skilled and creative Web Developer to join our London IT team. In this exciting and dynamic role, you will work with a range of stakeholders, each with their own requirements, to design, code, modify and maintain local web applications. You will create and upgrade existing web applications to enhance the visual appeal, user friendliness, and functionality ensuring an exceptional user experience.
What you will do
- Support, maintain and enhance existing web
- Requirements gathering, construction design and implementation of new application requests.
- Support and process improvement of the global Formscape/Transform application in Manchester and all other sites
- SharePoint administration and support
- Bridge into global development teams, where the company has adopted the Mendix Development Platform (opportunities for learning and self-development)
- Partner with global teams around Big Data and opportunities to harness that data for business improvement initiatives
What you will need
- Experienced in ASP.NET Development with emphasis on VB.NET
- Proficient in HTML & CSS
- Able to diagnose/troubleshoot and fix issues in existing webform apps
- Gather new app requirements and translate them to code/database design
- Proficient in SQL, Oracle and ideally PL/SQL queries
- Able to retrieve, manipulate and present database data within asp.net app (Reports/Tables, Charts etc)
- Administer SVN effectively (e.g., create new repositories)
- Experienced in maintaining an IIS environment /App deployment.
- JavaScript (desirable not essential)
